  • Financial Systems and Process Alignment : Ensure that all financial systems and processes in our European operations are fully aligned with those of the Corporate Headquarters.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) : Lead the FP&A activities, including variance analysis, forecasting, and strategic financial planning of the BUs in Europe.
  • Budgeting and Budget Control : Oversee the budgeting process, implement budget controls, and report on variances to ensure financial discipline and cost management.
  • Financial Accounting and Reporting : Manage all aspects of financial accounting and reporting, including R&D reporting, in compliance with IFRS and corporate policies. Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Costing analysis and allocation : Provide costing analysis and allocation, enhancing financial visibility and decision-making.
  • Management Reporting : Develop and present insightful management reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Tax and Local Regulations Compliance : Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and filings, leveraging expertise in local tax laws and international tax principles.
  • Liaison with External Parties : Act as the primary contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies in Europe.
  • Team resources : Engage and draw the required resources from the Group Finance to perform this role.
  • Human Resources: Perform the full spectrum of HR functions, not limited to payroll and insurance and ensure local compliance with employment laws, regulations, and other statutory HR requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is favourable.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in similar roles, with at least 2 years in a position that is able to work independently.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and FP&A.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, while having basic knowledge in local European accounting standards and tax regulations being highly advantageous.
  • Experience with financial systems implementation and process improvement.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and experience in engaging cross-cultural teams.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and external parties.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in another European language, such as German, being highly advantageous.
